Mass Communication Minor

This minor provides an opportunity to explore the social, political, economic and legal aspects of mass communication.

The admission requirements are:

2.5 cumulative GPA
C or higher grade in Jour 1001

To declare the minor:

When you have completed Jour 1001, come to 110 Murphy Hall to verify that you have a C or higher grade in Jour 1001 and a 2.5 cumulative GPA and to complete the minor declaration form.

The mass communication minor consists of 18 credits, including:

Jour 1001
Jour 3004W or Jour 3004V
Four context courses, one of which must be at the 4XXX or 5XXX level.

NOTE: Only students who have completed Jour 1001 and met the admission requirements will be admitted to the mass communication minor. Exceptions will not be granted.
