Eva Widder

Eva received a bachelor’s degree in marketing from the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota. She grew up in Aitkin, a small town in northern Minnesota. She now lives in Minneapolis with her husband and enjoys biking, gardening and baking in her free time.

Current Research Interests:

I am most interested in the intersection of strategic communications and philanthropy. How can strategic communications engage volunteers and donors to become passionate supporters of an organization? How can communicators help non-profit organizations and potential donors find common interests and develop partnerships? How can corporations engage their employees in charitable projects that benefit the long-term strength of the brand?

Professional Experience:

Eva is currently an associate development officer at the University of Minnesota College of Liberal Arts. In this role, she works to identify, cultivate, solicit and recognize major donors.
