WebCT Help for Instructors

WebCT is course management software that enables instructors to create and manage Web-based learning materials and activities. Students use WebCT to access these materials and participate in learning activities via the Web.

Requesting a WebCIT site: instructors must request a WebCT course site to access the WebCT program and create online course materials with WebCT.

Online help: The WebCT website has a section dedicated to helping instructors. This describes the types of help available, including an e-mail address to send questions to (webct@umn.edu) and how to receive a consultation regarding setting up WebCT courses from the Digital Media Resource Center (call 612.625.5055 or e-mail webct@umn.edu). 

WebCT training: For instructors who would like some formal training in using WebCT, there are a number of short courses available. See a list of available courses.
