The Digital Information Resource Center (DIRC)/Eric Sevareid Library is the SJMC's discipline-specific, on-site library and resource center. The DIRC/Library's collection features a number of specialty resources of use to reseachers in the communications disciplines and is supported 100% by private gifts.

Library Resources: The Library offers students and faculty access to a wide range of journals, newspapers, and multimedia resources. Books in the Sevareid collection can be accessed through the University Libraries Journalism Webpage.

WebCT for Instructors: Tutorials and guides for instructors using WebCT in their courses.

Library History: Learn about Eric Sevareid, the founder of the Library, and the history of the collection.

Journalism Resources at University Libraries: University Libraries provide further resources including advertising and marketing resources, career resources, design resources, e-journals, blogs, and many other valuable resources for journalism students.

Hours:

Monday-Friday: 9 a.m. - 4 p.m.
Saturday and Sunday: Closed

Note: The library is closed during official University holidays. Hours are subject to change.
