Hazel Dicken-Garcia
Hazel Dicken-Garcia worked at the Ann Arbor News in Ann Arbor,
Mich., after an internship with the Magazine Publishers
Association in New York, where she worked briefly at two
magazines. She has published extensively on the history of journalism,
and her book, Journalistic Standards in Nineteenth-Century
America, received the Kappa Tau Alpha Award as the best book
published in the field in 1990. In 2002, she was co-editor
of a special issue of Mass Communication and Society.
